Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Siesta Nose Strips while exercising?
Yes! Our nose strips are sweatproof and built to stay in place even during intense workouts. They’re a great tool for athletes who want to improve nasal breathing and boost endurance or recovery in any form of training or sport competition.
How do I apply and remove the nose strips?
Apply to clean, dry skin across the bridge of your nose. Press down firmly to ensure it sticks well. To remove, gently peel from the edges and pull outward slowly. Avoid pulling too quickly to protect the skin. If you have very sensitive skin and have experienced discomfort when removing, try removing under warmer water to make the experience smoother.
How to Remove Mouth Tape Properly
For the best experience, always peel downward, not sideways—this follows the grain of the adhesive and minimizes discomfort. Use your tongue to press lightly against the tape from the inside as you peel to help loosen it, especially if your lips feel dry. Staying hydrated throughout the day and applying a bit of lip balm before taping can also make removal smoother. With the right prep, taking off your tape can be just as easy as putting it on.
Can I use Siesta Tape if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, Siesta Tape is safe for sensitive skin. In fact, one of the main reasons we created Siesta Tape was because we had frustrating experiences with other tapes that irritated or even damaged our skin. That’s why we made ours with hypoallergenic adhesive and ultra-soft, skin-friendly fabric so it’s gentle enough for nightly use, even on sensitive skin. If ever needed for very sentitive skin use hot water when removing tape to dissolve adhesive easier.
How long can I wear a Siesta Nose Strip?
You can wear a nose strip for several hours at a time. Whether it’s for a full night’s sleep or a long training session, our strips are made to stay put without discomfort or irritation. Remeber to clean your nose after long sessions of using the nose strips.
Should I wear if I have a stuffy nose?
Yes, you can use Siesta Mouth Tapes and Nose Strips with a stuffy nose and it will actually help. Mouth breathing can make congestion worse. In these cases, we recommend pairing our Nose Strips with the Mouth Tape to support nasal breathing. However, avoid use of Mouth Tape if you have a cold, sinus infection, or ear infection, here only use a Nose Strips to support nasal breathing.
